Helping Women Find Freedom in Christ
Equipping and restoring women through worship, prayer, and love for God and others.

Equip and restore women through the power of God’s Word.
Helping to equip and restore women to freedom in Christ through worship in prayer & song, abiding in the Word of God, and walking in His commandments to love God and love people.
Abide in the Word of God.
If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
—John 8:32
Walk in God’s commandments.
And this is love, that we walk according to his commandments; this is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, so that you should walk in it.
—2 John 1:5-6
Love God by loving people.
And he said to him “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And the second like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
—Matthew 22:37-39
Bring women together to discover freedom in Christ.
Our mission is to bring together the women of Southern Oregon through events, conferences, and teachings. We want to create a space that will equip and restore women to their freedom in Christ.

Who We Are
We are women who all believe that God is Sovereign, created all things, and is over all things. We believe that Jesus is the Incarnate Son of God who died on the cross for our sins and was resurrected and now sits at the right hand of God. He is our God, our Savior, our Redeemer, and One with God the Father.
We believe that the same power that rose Jesus from the dead dwells among us as the Holy Spirit, who empowers us to accomplish the work God set before us. We believe that the Bible is the inspired, living Word of God. We believe that the body of believers that make up the church are God’s hands and feet on earth doing His will, which is to share the Good News of Jesus.
We want to be women who disciple other women.

Julie Hicks

Julie Hicks
October 2025 marks my 40th year as a Christian, a journey filled with the mentorship, guidance, support, challenges, and love of many remarkable women. These experiences have shown me the incredible power that arises when women support each other, which is why I joined SO Breathe Free.
I believe deeply in the transformative power of faith and community. This group not only aligns with my Christian values but also provides a nurturing environment where women can grow, heal, and thrive together.
My faith is the cornerstone of my life, guiding my actions and decisions. SO Breathe Free embodies the teachings of Christ, emphasizing love, compassion, and service to others. By being part of this group, I can live out my faith in a meaningful way, helping to uplift and support women who are facing various challenges.
Women often encounter unique struggles, and having a faith-based support system can make a significant difference. As a Board Member, I am committed to ensuring our organization offers spiritual guidance, practical resources, and a safe space for women to share their stories and find strength in their faith. I am passionate about contributing to these efforts, whether through prayer, mentorship, or simply offering a listening ear.
Knowing that my faith can help another woman find hope and resilience is incredibly rewarding. Together, we can create a strong, supportive community that not only helps women in need but also enriches our own spiritual lives. The friendships and connections I’ve made here are invaluable, and they inspire me to continue working towards our shared mission. By supporting each other, we can make a lasting, positive impact on the lives of women and, in turn, on our broader community.
